The IDEAL MASTER BEDROOM should be comfortable and not to big for you to stay.
Now to start 2013 let's have a room makeover concentrating the MASTER BEDROOM.
The most used room designs for relaxation, that is why it should have a PEACEFUL and CALMING ATMOSPHERE.
The IDEAL MASTER BEDROOM should be comfortable and not to big for you to stay.
NOTE: The bed should be stable, without built-in drawers and other optional features. If the built-in drawers do exist, only linen should be stored there, but certainly not clothes, shoes, family photo archives.
Chinese people follow some rituals in positioning their bed rooms, called FUNG SHUI RULES:
- BED SHOULD NOT BE LOCATED DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE ENTRANCE DOOR. Or you can make the bed place slightly diagonally in order to see who enters the room.
- AVOID SLEEPING WITH YOUR LEGS or HEAD directly at the window.
- DO NOT USE BEDROOM FURNITURE with a SHARP CORNERS.
- CLOSET SHOULD BE PROPORTIONAL TO THE SIZE OF THE BEDROOM. If you are in need of a large closet use a closet with a frosted glass inserts.
- MIRROR creates the condition of unrest and discomfort while sleeping. That is why bed should not be facing in the area were mirrors are located.
more to come...to be continued....

very good concept of decorate rooms, nice post
Definitely what I need since we will be moving to a new house soon and the arrangement of furniture and stuff will be the hardest part of the transition.
Best if you have advice for small rooms, and those multi-purpose designs that makes productive use of a small space.
These designs really make the house have a pleasant ambiance.
aha 1-5 checked! Thank you for free Feng Shui!
Advance Chinese New Year!
Home improvement is really essential, this add liveliness and positive mood for each member of the family.
oh, I guess I should advise my sister and brother to find a different place for their bed since it seems to be facing a built-in cabinet with mirror doors. Thanks for the advice!
Feng shui tips are sometimes hard to follow because others entail big renovations for the home. I hope there are alternatives to the suggestions.
Actually sis Rochkirstin this is the alternative way of doing fung shui (no need for big renovation). Just to move out things that are not important to your Master Bedroom. Rearranging your bed.
What should be the proper design, style or whatever for a master's bedroom? Why it should be relied on Chinese beliefs. Anyway, whatever it is as long as I feel comfortable, less distraction, and conducive for relaxation, for sleeping. That's okay for me!
ah, I wish I have a room where I can apply your tips... unfortunately, I don't but good tips nevertheless... I think there is nothing wrong in applying certain principles or beliefs in arranging ones bedroom..
great tips! Lucky i have this space to put a huge mirror which wont be facing our bedroom hehe
Good stuff to know; I can't really apply this in my current studio condo but when I move to a bigger place, I agree that no television should be in the bedroom!
Some helpful tips to re-design one's bedroom. Fung Shui has very sound technical aspects to consider. Yung TV lang siguro ang hindi ko pwedeng alisin sa bedroom.
Thanks for sharing these effective room arrangement tips! I surely need one especially with the new year coming. I want something new for my room :)
We don't actually do fengshui, but we follow #1 and #5 in arranging our bed rooms for comfort :) Anyway, when I already have my own house, no TV in the master bedroom! ;)
beautiful! your photo and tips reminded me of my dream bedroom! gotta make my dream come true soon!!! lol!
For me, less distractions like TV, computers etc. should be on the other room as for me, our bedroom is sacred and only used for sleeping (and you know what else ;) ).
Our bedroom needs a makeover. Hope to use some of these tips.
i don't really have these beliefs in particular... hahaha... wala sa pamahiin na nakagisnan. but i know these were also created based on practical reason and not to pure superstition alone. Yahweh bless.
Nice tips here, will try to rearrange my room after this. :)
I have a question about these feng shui tips. It says "DO NOT USE BEDROOM FURNITURE with a SHARP CORNERS." Isn't a bedside table a bedroom furniture? A closet is also a stable in the bedroom same as a dressers. Don't all these furnitures have sharp corners?
Nice read and observation there Special Education. As far as I know FUNG SHUI beliefs, they avoided things does have sharp edges inside the bedroom. But for us Christian Filipinos we don't mind it, as long as we can sleep properly with comfort.
